Record Your Story with SCPL.  Do you have some great stories you would like to pass on to friends or family?  How about memories, descriptions of childhood homes, or recipes?  From March through November, you will have a chance to reserve a time slot in our recording studio to interview a loved one or record yourself or a group of friends and take away a copy to give as a gift.  This is a great way to preserve a fragile part of your personal history and future family members will love to hear memories given in a loved one's voice.  Storytelling and memory are an important part of Yiddish culture, so as part of our months' long celebration of that culture, we want to offer this chance to our patrons.  Every Wednesday from 1:00 - 3:00 the recording studio will be available, but those who wish to use it for this purpose must reserve a date and specific time.  Call our number at 502-863-3566 to reserve your time in 30 minute, 45 minute, and 1 hour blocks.

It is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program, a partnership with the American Library Association, and made possible by the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
