 l instruments!  In this fun and educational program, the audience will le
 arn about the history of steel pans, how they are tuned, and how music wor
 ks through tempo, rhythm, melody, harmony, dynamics, and timbre.The presen
 ters bring real steel pan instruments including up to two large bass pans,
  a double second harmony pan, a lead melody pan, and beginner pans. Throug
 h live demonstrations and music examples, the audience will hear how each 
 instrument works together to create exciting musical sounds.Free performan
 ce sponsored by Southern Elementary PTA.  Doors close when capacity is re
 ached.Room will be loud.  Please bring your own noise-reduction headphone
 s, if required.  Concert will begin promptly at 5:00pm.
