VIRTUAL (Zoom) - Genealogy 101: A Four-Session Course in Beginning Genealogy, Session 1.

Join Peggy Lynn Clemens Lauritzen (AG, FOGS) for this four-week course via Zoom. Clemens Lauritzen is the recipient of the Laura G Prescott Award for Exemplary Service to Professional Genealogy and is an expert in Ohio, mid-Southern, and Appalachian research.

Each of the four classes will build on the previous instruction. Registration, including working email, is required for each session, in order to receive the Zoom login information.

Session 1: Identify what you already know.
This will include home sources, oral interviews of older relatives, obituaries, appropriate charts and forms. Basic forms, i.e. pedigree chart, family group record, etc., will be provided to find out is already known.
