Providing information and resources from experts for mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
The Importance of Health Literacy: Did you know that around 80% of Americans have a limited knowledge of health literacy? Part of understanding health literacy is how we comprehend health information. Individuals with little to no health literacy find greater difficulty in making informed decisions about their health and lack an understanding about the research behind medical conditions.
We invite everyone to join us as we learn about the importance of health literacy and how to research using medical databases that are free through your library card. We will conduct real-time examples, learn about ways to search for information, and what resources are available to you.
Free!! Registration required.
