Director Sam Mendes collected stories from his WWI veteran grandfather to create an immersive war experience in this Academy Award-winning film that celebrates the tenacity and displays the horrors of the soldiers in the trenches of the Great War. Two British corporals are sent across enemy territory in April, 1917, to stop an attack that is slated to end in disaster, the ending is a race against time.
