Cool Season Vegetable Gardening Seeds Coming March 1st!

Cool-season vegetable seeds are the first seeds to plant in the upcoming 2024 garden year. You can begin planting these seeds anytime from several weeks to a couple of months before the last frost date in May. Why? These early vegetable seeds need the cold temperature to germinate, grow, set fruit, and mature. All cool season vegetable seeds will be available beginning March 1 with some you can begin planting immediately.  Brought to you by UK/Scott County Cooperative Extension Horticulture Program.
