Suffer and Celebrate:  Two Artists Between the Wars.  Jewish artist Marc Chagall and French artist Georges Rouault are noted for their vibrant, jewel-toned work in stained glass and print-making.  This lecture by artist Karen Geesey will look at their art in the years between the world wars, where they express their definition of hope through their interpretation of Biblical narratives.  This lecture is offered in connection with Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day which runs from sunset May 5 through May 6.
