Today we discuss The Last Blue by Ilsa Morley.  This luminous novel is the story of Clay, a photographer working for Roosevelt's Works Projects Administration whose assignment to the deepest hollers of Eastern Kentucky leads him to a persecuted woman isolated from her community by the unique color of her skin.  What transpires is a unique story of betrayal, prejudice, love and courage.
