Program Description

Event Details

The American Chestnut was nearly wiped out because of a blight that attacked the species. It was once an abundant tree in Kentucky. For over 41 years efforts have been ongoing to restore the Chestnut to the American landscape. Ken Darnell, president of the Kentucky Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation, will show and talk about the work in Kentucky to restore the Chestnut.

This program is in partnership with the Scott County Historical Society.
